Sony have dropped support for my new 1050 without providing any option for retaining version 5.1. Please understand that we have apps set to auto update so we don't get a chance. Very poor show that a brand new amp has no support.

I only bought the SRS:X2 to use on songpal but it is not supported. Is Sony fixing it?

This could be a real quality app, but its not. The information collecting & privacy policy is more important to Sony & affiliates than the quality of the app itself. CONS: Cant turn on the player from my phone, but can turn it off. What? App directs you to iTunes to start play of music, so have to come back to songpal to set preferences. Every time you leave & come back to the app, it refreshes & reloads the app, every time. Did I mention every time? Interface is very clumsy. Difficult to pair with Bluetooth. Especially, when turning the player off with the app. PROS: none... ...well, it is deletable.

Needs improvement. The design itself is not good but its slow and not always working. But that would still be somewhat OK. What is really annoying is that you cant remove station from TuneIn Radio Favourites if the station is not working. Lets say the Internet radio is down/offline, then you cant remove it from Favourites anymore. So I have all those zombie stations there I cant remove. Thats really annoying.

It forces me to have to give it a star to post this. I love the Stereo, but this app just ************! This app blows, every time you walk away from your car/head unit you have to authorize it again and again and again and again, oh did I mention and Again! In the head unit when playing an MP3 it only says music. Once in a while I can get it to show a song title. It so annoying to have to authorize it every time. Plz fix this dang app. It has such potential, but in the state that its in its just annoying to have to use it. I want to recommend the Stereo to my friends, but refuse to because theyll have to use this App and Ill never hear the end of it.

After the update, cannot even get it to work, it pairs to the bluetooth, but wont work in the app zero stars

Junk. Sony makes some great devices, but their apps are worthless. My iPhone plays and works correctly with my LBT-GPX555..then I download this app and it does absolutely nothing meaningful. Junk, once again.

What they dont tell you until after you download is that the software is only compatible with a small fraction of the speaker models sold by Sony.

I have the HTNT5 sound bar and this works just like it should. I have had no issues with connection or lag. The app is pretty straight forward and easy to use with my sound bar. It allows me to switch between inputs with ease and even allows me to play music from my phone over wifi while giving a display with the song information on the tv.

Paired fairly easily from a DH750 to a 6s. The interface is clunky and refreshes every time you switch apps. It is annoying. The equalizer only works for the "front" speakers? Lots of odd things like that. Also, some settings appear/disappear for whatever reason. Work on it, Sony.

Its unfortunate that Sony app developers dont read these reviews. I have written this before and keep hoping that the following will be implemented 1. Zone power: lets say Im listening to zone 2 only (main is set to "OFF". Every time one switches from "song pal" to any other app and then go back to songpal, the power setting resets to both zones (zone 2 and main) to "ON". Please change so that it will remember last setting as most of the time people dont want both zones. This maybe the biggest flaw 2. Please redo the GUI from scratch. It is simply atrocious. 3. Optimize for iPhone 6 plus. 4. Make dedicated iPad app There is tons more I would be happy to provide Its a shame that such awesome receivers are left with such garbage app

First, this app looks horrible. This is the company that made the simple and beautiful PS4 XMD UI, and they give us this POS app. Cmon. Improvements needed: scaled for iPhone 6 and newer; widget for quick access to volume thatd be cool; reliable app with bug fixes and stability for performance-lots of hanging in the app Please Sony, it took 2 years to update PlayStation app on iOS to look nice... Dont make the same mistake!

I love being able to control my stereo from my phone. Way to go Sony.

It doesnt recognize the srs-x7 via Bluetooth, even though the device is connected and playing. It makes it impossible to setup the wi-fi. Very frustrating (iOS 8 and iPhone 5s) Não reconhece o srs-x7 pelo Bluetooth, mesmo o dispositivo estando conectando e tocando. Desse jeito é impossível configurar o wi-fi da caixinha. Muito frustrante.

Being almost 2 months using the app and sound system. Sound quality is great directly connected to equipment that i intend to use. App response is slow and lags sometimes despite not so far from sound bar. Why there is no connectivity via wireless and just limited to bluetooth? Bluetooth makes sound quality terrible. My first review has been deleted?!? App crashes all the time. Very clunky and slow. You must select your device every time and is very annoying. Very bad software. Strdn1050 has no 1080 up scaling. .... What?!?

Paired with a Sony SRS-X7 it is a pleasure to work with. One of its many features relies on the settings of the Equalizer Audio Service. You can adjust the output sound to your ear preferences. A great feature would be the ability to add the building of favorite lists such as another Sony Audio app does. It would then be complete. Keep the fine work.

It was all great the first time i used the app, but when I turned off the device and tried using it again the next day(today) it wont recognize the device from the "device list", ive tried reseting the device, reconnecting bluetooth, turning off my iphone, everything. Re-installed the app, still wont work. Would not recommend.

This app is good but kind of slow and the volume keeps disappearing, so not very practical.
